- Requirements:
- A. Degree in Publishing, Graphic Design, or related field or equivalent experience
- 15 or more years of professional background in book publishing, editing and design
- 5 years leading a multi-functional team, including designers, researchers and editors
- Experience with project management and an ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to establish and implement technical and editorial standards and workflows while maintaining content inventories
- Detail oriented & deadline focused with solid copyediting, proofreading, and rewriting skills
- Thorough understanding of photography, typography, and printing
- Must have an eye for design and formatting; high degree of creativity to create compelling products that represent the Ripley brand
- Manage relationships with outside vendors
- Create budgets for projects
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including inDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator and web publishing software tools
